Fishing off Miami Beach has been getting better and better every day as we approached the full moon. We caught this 38 lb. wahoo in 600 feet of water trolling along a pronounced current rip. The fish ate a black and purple sea witch attached to a planer, down about 75 feet. This depth has been a sweet spot for us as of late. We have been encountering wahoo on almost every trip this week.
We are also seeing kingfish and mahi-mahi with the full moon. The blackfin tuna have been around the area in good numbers. Natural baits have been very productive – bonita strips and ballyhoo.
