Mahi are starting to show up here in Miami Beach. On half-day trips, we’ve been catching a few nice fish with one recent catch over 20 pounds. This time a year you don’t really need to go out to far offshore. Most fish are found between 100 and 400 feet of water which is only 2 to 4 miles off our coast and 15 minutes away from my dock. We’re catching a lot of these fish on rigged ballyhoo. We’re also catching some on bonita strips. We are also expecting a little wahoo run pretty soon.
