Report Date: December 4, 2012

We had regular catches of mahi-mahi this month with an occasional wahoo mixed in. Now Is a great time to go deep sea fishing with cold fronts moving in and baitfish in their Fall to Winter migration. Fishing on the edge of the gulf stream off Miami this week has seen some of the hottest sailfishing of the season so far – we had 40 releases with most of the bites in the 200-140 ft. These fish have been eating on the troll and live baiting with ballyhoo, hearing and pilchards on 20 lb. spinners. If you’re going to be in Miami soon, give me a ring and I’ll let you know what’s chewing.

Tight Lines,
Capt Ralph
