miami mutton fishing

Report Date: January 1, 2005

you still have good mutton fishing here in south florida. you dont have to run to the bahamas to enjoy. as i headed out capt. alex rigged all the rods. we fished two different styles.one your basic snapper rig a three to four foot leader is all you need at night, lead depends on current.the other is your pee shot rig it takes i little practice to get the hang of it ,you have to work the current dropping back the bait in the current while at the same time making sure that you dont over shoot the bottom by creating a bow in your line also important you fish some nice bottom here are some nice muttons caught here in one of my honey holes right off haulover and its not a wreck, so i hope this report will help you catch more mutton in miami. thanks capt. Ralph
