About Capt. Rafael Mayans

I'm Capt. Rafael Mayans and I’ve been a Miami resident my entire life. Living and fishing here in Miami Beach has given me the opportunity to fish and explore some of the best fishing grounds the east coast has to offer - from the Florida Keys to pristine waters of the Bahamas. Fishing these waters i have gained the experience to give my clients the best possible chance for a successful and memorable fishing trip.

I’m licensed and insured Coast Guard Certified Captain, a member of the International Game Fish Association and a proven tournament winner placing 1st in the 2002 Bimini Big Game Club’s Bahamas Fishing Bonanza and 2nd place in the Bimini Big Game Club’s Big Five Fishing Tournament.

As a private captain on various other tournament sport fishing boats, I have been able to gain valuable experience not available any other way - fishing against, and with, some of the best fishing captains in South Florida and the Bahamas.
